Cocktails such as the B-52 and French 75 have always inspired me because they transform moments military history into stories shared through a glass. That made me wonder: why not create a cocktail that pays tribute to the courage, resilience, and legacy of the Indian Army? No Man's Land is inspired by Operation Meghdoot, the mission that secured India's position on the Siachen Glacier, the world's highest battlefield, where the 19 Kumaon Regiment and 4 Kumaon Regiment displayed extraordinary determination. The heart of this cocktail comes from stories my father and uncle shared about Siachen. More than the danger or freezing cold, they missed home—the fresh air of our farming lands, the aroma of Indian spices, and the comfort of home-cooked meals. To capture those memories, I created infusion of lime leaves and bitters from whole Indian spices. Bacardi Carta Blanca Rum symbolizes warmth, friendship, and the bond shared by soldiers. Almond syrup represents the high-energy rations they relied upon while creating a cloudy appearance, recalling endless snow. Served stirred in Old Fashioned glass, the nuts, chocolate garnish, and single flower honor nourishment, sacrifice, resilience, and the memories of home carried by every soldier who chose duty above all else.
Charcoal-filtered and oak-rested to Don Facundo’s founding blend — light, mixable and endlessly versatile.
