Misleading was inspired by the idea that a Future Icon is not defined by complexity, rarity, or recognition, but by the ability to create a moment that stays with someone. At KHI KHI, I believe the most memorable cocktails are the ones that challenge expectations and create curiosity from the very first sip. With Misleading, I wanted to take familiar flavours and present them in an unexpected way. Patrón Reposado provides the foundation, allowing the natural character of agave, citrus, and subtle pepper to remain at the heart of the drink. Cranberry adds brightness, balsamic brings depth, ponzu introduces citrus and umami, while water helps open and connect the flavours. The cocktail is designed to feel familiar yet surprising — inviting the guest to question their first impression and discover something new with every sip. For me, that is innovation: not creating something louder, but making something familiar feel completely new.
