Greetings everyone I am Manoj and I proudly represent Japonico Gurgaon. For me, bartending is more than mixing ingredients—it is about creating memorable experiences and telling stories through every glass. For my Future Icon cocktail, I chose Dewar’s 12, a whisky celebrated for its smooth character and signature double-aging process. Its balance and depth inspired me to create a drink that reflects both tradition and innovation. My cocktail combines Dewar’s 12 with yuzu and ume cordial, finished with sakura leaf soda. Each ingredient has a purpose. Yuzu represents freshness and new beginnings, ume brings harmony and depth, while sakura leaf adds a delicate aroma that reminds us to appreciate life’s fleeting moments. Together, these Japanese flavors complement the rich character of Dewar’s 12 while reflecting the spirit of Japonico. This cocktail represents my personal journey as a bartender. Every shift behind the bar has taught me that great cocktails are not just about flavor—they are about emotion, connection, and craftsmanship. I believe a Future Icon cocktail should be approachable, easy to recreate, and unforgettable for every guest who experiences it.
