Named after Akira Kurosawa’s famous 1950 film Rashomon, which was based on short stories by Ryunosuke Akutagawa. In the movie, four witnesses describe a murder in completely different ways. Each person tells a version that protects their own ego or interests, leaving the actual truth a mystery.
